Ingredients

  • 2 c. sliced carrots
  • 3 c. diced potatoes
  • 4 c. shredded cabbage
  • 4 c. milk, scalded
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil; add salt and vegetables in order: carrots, potatoes, and cabbage.
  2. Boil until tender, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add sugar, pepper, and hot milk; mix well.
  4. Add butter and serve.
