Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water in a mixing bowl; add sugar and about half of the flour.
- Beat thoroughly for 2 minutes.
- Add eggs and shortening; gradually beat in the remaining flour until smooth.
- Cover with a damp cloth and place in the refrigerator.
- Punch down the dough occasionally.
- About 2 hours before baking, cut off the needed amount of dough.
- Return the remaining dough to the refrigerator.
- Shape the dough into rolls and brush tops with butter.
- Let the rolls rise until light.
- Bake at 350°F until brown.
