Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • few grains of salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 c. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add brown sugar and stir until well combined.
  3. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add flour, baking powder, and a few grains of salt, stirring until smooth.
  5. Fold in chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into a greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.
