Roy'S Multi-Grain Bread
A hearty, nutty multi-grain bread with a slightly sweet flavor from molasses or honey, perfect for breakfast or sandwiches, suitable for bakers of all skill levels.

- Combine flour and salt in a large bowl.
- Stir well.
- Place molasses or honey in warm water with yeast and allow it to rise to the top.
- Add applesauce to the yeast mixture.
- Stir the mixture with the flour. If making raisin bread, add at least 2 cups of raisins at this point.
- Turn the dough onto a floured board and knead for 10 minutes or more.
- Spray a bowl with vegetable spray.
- Place the dough in the bowl, cover, and let rise for at least 30 minutes.
- Cut and shape the dough into 2 or 3 loaves and place in an oven preheated to 250°F.
- When the dough has approximately doubled in size, increase the oven temperature to 350°F.
- Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, depending on your oven.
