Rum Pudding(Rompudding)

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt
  • 2 Tbsp. rum
  • 1 c. whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Soak gelatin in cold water for about 5 minutes.
  2. Dissolve gelatin completely over hot water.
  3. Beat egg yolks until foamy; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  4. Add dissolved gelatin, salt, and rum to the egg mixture.
  5. Cool the mixture in the refrigerator until it begins to thicken.
  6. Gently fold in whipped cream into the mixture.
  7. Chill until the pudding is firm, then serve with a fruit sauce thickened with cornstarch.
