Rum Raisin Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine, melted
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp. rum (or a mini bottle)
  • 4 c. bread cubes
  • 1 c. raisins
  • plain yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Mix together the sugar, the butter and add the eggs.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add the milk, nutmeg, and rum; stirring until well combined.
  5. Stir in the bread cubes and raisins.
  6. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes and stir again.
  7. Pour into a 2 quart baking dish or pan.
  8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  9. Serve with plain yogurt.
