Rummy Pears offer a delightful combination of tender pears infused with cinnamon, sugar, and rum, topped with whipped cream for an indulgent dessert perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 large pears, peeled and cored
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. rum
  • 4 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Place peeled and cored pears in a microwave-safe dish at least 1-inch deep.
  2. Put 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon into each pear.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup rum over the pears.
  4. Cook on High for 3 minutes.
  5. Spoon sauce over the pears.
  6. Add more rum if needed.
  7. Cook on High for an additional 3 minutes or until the pears are almost tender.
  8. Spoon sauce over the pears again.
  9. Serve with whipped cream.
