Ingredients

  • fresh dill
  • onion slices
  • garlic cloves
  • fresh cucumbers
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. pickling salt

Instructions

  1. In each clean sterilized jar, place 1 head fresh dill, 2 slices onions, 1 clove garlic, and fresh cucumbers to fill.
  2. To make the brine, mix 2 cups vinegar, 1 cup water, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and 1/4 cup pickling salt.
  3. Bring the brine to a boil.
  4. Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers in the jars.
  5. Seal the jars and let sit for a week before using.
