Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 2 cups finely chopped pecans
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend flour, softened butter, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Add finely chopped pecans and vanilla to the mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Shape the dough into small balls approximately the size of nuts.
  5. Place the balls on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  8. Roll the warm cookies in powdered sugar, coating thoroughly.
  9. Allow cookies to cool completely, then roll in powdered sugar again before serving.
