Ingredients

  • 1 can applesauce
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  2. Dump applesauce into the prepared pan.
  3. Dump crushed pineapple on top of the applesauce.
  4. Spread yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layer.
  5. Melt butter and pour it over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the batter.
  7. Do not stir.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  9. Serve topped with Cool Whip, whipped cream, or ice cream.
