- Combine milk and rice in a deep heavy pan and simmer for 45 minutes or until rice is done, stirring frequently.
- In a separate bowl, mix canned milk, sugar, salt, eggs, cornstarch, and vanilla.
- Set aside the mixture until the rice is cooked.
- Combine the cooked rice mixture with the milk and rice mixture and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Refrigerate before serving.
- Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Add milk during serving if the pudding is too thick.
