A creamy, fluffy rice pudding with rich milk flavors, sweetened with sugar and eggs, perfect for comforting desserts or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. canned milk
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. rice
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine milk and rice in a deep heavy pan and simmer for 45 minutes or until rice is done, stirring frequently.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix canned milk, sugar, salt, eggs, cornstarch, and vanilla.
  3. Set aside the mixture until the rice is cooked.
  4. Combine the cooked rice mixture with the milk and rice mixture and bring to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Refrigerate before serving.
  7. Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Add milk during serving if the pudding is too thick.
