Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork sausage
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 2 packages Lipton dry chicken noodle soup
  • 1/2 cup rice

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and sausage in a frying pan.
  2. Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery to the meat and cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Simmer the mixture for about 15 minutes to develop flavors.
  4. Bring water to a boil in a separate pot and add rice and Lipton dry chicken noodle soup mix.
  5. Cook until rice is tender, about 7 to 8 minutes, then let it cool slightly.
  6. Combine the cooked rice mixture with the meat and vegetable mixture in a baking dish.
  7. Cover and bake at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
