Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. salmon steaks
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 green apple

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° to 450°.
  2. Wash and pat dry salmon steaks. Place on a sheet of foil.
  3. Cut apple into thick slices and place on top of salmon.
  4. Sprinkle with nutmeg (to taste) and wrap foil over. Place in the oven (can put a cookie sheet under foil or in a shallow baking dish).
  5. Bake for 15 to 25 minutes, covered, then unwrap and continue baking for 5 to 10 minutes longer at a lowered temperature of 350°, until salmon pulls into flakes with a fork.
