Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Sift together the flour and salt, then blend into the sugar mixture.
  4. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for approximately 15 to 20 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar to coat generously.
