Sangria Blanco

A refreshing white sangria with citrus fruits, simple syrup, and sparkling water, perfect for summer gatherings and those who enjoy a fruity, bubbly beverage.

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 2 limes
  • 2 oranges
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 quart Chablis
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • 2 oz Triple Sec

Instructions

  1. Cut several end slices from lemons, limes, and oranges.
  2. Keep the center of the fruits for slicing later.
  3. Place the end slices in a small saucepan with water and sugar.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  5. Lower the heat and simmer, undisturbed, for 3 minutes to make a simple syrup.
  6. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  7. Strain the syrup; squeeze juice from the fruits. Discard the cooked fruit end slices.
  8. Chill the syrup, covered, up to 1 week.
  9. On the day of serving, thinly slice the center of the fruits, discard seeds, chill the fruit slices, and cover until ready to use.
