Ingredients

  • 5 large apples, pared, cored and sliced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Spread sliced apples in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Combine cinnamon and 1 cup sugar; sprinkle over the apples.
  3. Mix butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and salt to form a crumbly topping.
  4. Spread the topping evenly over the apples.
  5. Sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour until golden.
  7. Spoon into dessert dishes and top with whipped cream.
