Sauce Pot Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a deep thick saucepan, quickly bring to a boil soup mix, water and 3/4 can of tomato sauce.
  2. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Mix ground beef, seasonings, parsley and remaining 1/4 can tomato sauce.
  3. Shape into 16 meatballs and place in sauce.
  4. Simmer gently, uncovered, for 25 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Serve over hot noodles or spaghetti.
  6. Makes 4 servings.
