Ingredients

  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3 tablespoons salad oil

Instructions

  1. Wash the tomatoes and remove the stems and ends.
  2. Cut the tomatoes into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  3. Mix the flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  4. Dredge each tomato slice in the seasoned flour mixture.
  5. Saute the floured tomato slices in salad oil until browned on both sides, turning once.
