Ingredients

  • 8 oz. shortcrust pastry
  • grated cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Line a flan dish with shortcrust pastry.
  2. Cook the onion until soft and caramelized, then spread it over the pastry in the dish.
  3. Sprinkle grated cheese and season with salt and pepper over the onion.
  4. Beat the eggs and pour the mixture over the cheese and onion in the pastry case.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until set and golden.
