Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1/2 cup Scotch whiskey, warmed
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Szechuan hot and spicy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Drop lobster tails into a large pot of boiling salted water and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until just cooked. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. With scissors, cut the underside of each tail to remove the meat, then slice the lobster meat into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a saucepan, warm the Scotch whiskey.
  4. Add the cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Szechuan hot and spicy sauce, and lemon juice to the saucepan with whiskey, stirring well.
  5. Add the butter pieces to the sauce and cook until melted, creating a creamy sauce.
  6. Pour the sauce over the lobster meat and serve hot.

Tips & Substitutions

To enhance the flavor, consider marinating the lobster meat in the sauce for 15-30 minutes before serving. If Scotch whiskey is not available, bourbon can be a suitable substitute. For a lighter option, you can use a light cream or a combination of Greek yogurt and broth instead of cream of mushroom soup.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the Scotch Lobster over a bed of rice or alongside crusty bread to soak up the creamy sauce. A fresh green salad or steamed vegetables complement the richness of the dish nicely. For an elevated experience, pair with a glass of the same Scotch used in the recipe.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, gently warm the lobster and sauce in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Avoid overheating, as this can make the lobster tough.
