Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Cream butter until fluffy.
  2. Add brown sugar and cream well.
  3. Add flour until soft dough is formed.
  4. Separate dough into 2 or 3 logs.
  5. Place logs in freezer until stiff enough to slice into 1-inch slices.
  6. Bake at 275°F for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Do not overbake.
  8. Best if dough is chilled before rolling into logs.
