Tips & Substitutions

For a nutty flavor, consider toasting the sesame seeds lightly before adding them to the casserole dish. If you're out of Bisquick, a homemade baking mix can be made using flour, baking powder, salt, and shortening. You can also experiment with different cheeses like Monterey Jack or Gruyère for a unique taste.

Serving Suggestions

This bread is perfect served cubed alongside a cheese fondue or as a unique appetizer at gatherings. Pair it with a light salad or fresh vegetables for a complete meal. It also complements dishes like German Chocolate Apple Pie Cake for a delightful contrast of flavors.

Storage & Reheating

Allow the bread to cool completely before storing it in an airtight container. It can be kept at room temperature for up to two days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. To reheat, wrap slices in foil and warm them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
