Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pineapple flavoring

Instructions

  1. Combine butter, Crisco oil, and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat until creamy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Sift flour and baking powder together in a separate bowl.
  4. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with the flour.
  5. Add flavorings to the milk before mixing.
  6. Pour batter into a greased and floured loaf pan.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before removing from the pan.
  9. Add glaze as desired.
