Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup sweet milk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon rum flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring

Instructions

  1. Cream butter or margarine, shortening, and sugar until fluffy. Add well beaten eggs.
  2. Alternate adding flour and milk; beat well after each addition.
  3. Pour batter into a tube pan and bake at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Do not turn out of the pan when done. Add glaze while still hot, in the tube pan.
