Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 5 Tbsp. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine egg whites, light corn syrup, water, sugar, and cream of tartar in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Beat the mixture on high speed for one minute to blend.
  3. Place over boiling water and continue beating until the mixture forms peaks when beater is raised, about 7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  5. Continue beating until the frosting is thick enough to spread.
