Shadow Unit Chipotle Brownies

Ingredients

  • 4-5 oz bitter chocolate
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 T vegetable oil
  • 3/4 c cocoa powder (premium)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 t kosher salt
  • 1/3 c plain whole milk yogurt
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c vanilla sugar
  • 1 c brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 t chipotle powder
  • 1/4 t cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease 9 x 13 pan, line with parchment
  3. Place chocolate, butter, oil & cocoa powder in bowl. Nuke till mostly melted, checking every minute. When mostly runny, mix and let stand.
  4. Whisk eggs, salt, vanilla & yogurt. Add sugars, flour, chipotle powder & cinnamon. Whisk till blended.
  5. Pour chocolate mix into flour mix, mixing slowly as adding.
  6. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 35-45 minutes.
  7. If they turn out too gooey you couldn't wait could you?!?!? If they turn out too dry you got distracted and waited too long...shame on you.
  8. (Me) Use toothpick test. S/be dense fudgy brownies.
