Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 baked 9-inch graham cracker pie shell

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Beat 4 egg yolks and add condensed milk, then lime juice; beat until thick.
  3. Beat 1 egg white until stiff, then fold into the mixture.
  4. Pour the filling into the baked graham cracker crust.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes or until set.
  6. Allow to cool, then refrigerate before serving.
