Ingredients

  • 1 yellow or white cake mix
  • 1 can Shasta strawberry pop
  • 1 small package strawberry jello
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 small container Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the box instructions and bake.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  3. Poke holes in the cooled cake with a finger or wooden spoon handle.
  4. In a separate bowl, pour the can of strawberry pop.
  5. Add enough water to the strawberry pop to make 2 cups of liquid.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Add the small package of strawberry jello to the boiling liquid and stir until dissolved.
  8. Pour the jello mixture into the holes in the cake and refrigerate until cool.
  9. Mix the instant vanilla pudding with slightly less milk than called for and prepare according to package instructions.
  10. Fold in the container of Cool Whip into the vanilla pudding.
  11. Spread the vanilla pudding and Cool Whip mixture over the cooled cake to ice it.
