Ingredients

  • 2 pound ground beef
  • 2 package brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 8 servings mashed potatoes
  • 1 bag 16 oz frozen peas and carrots, thawed

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Add minced onion and garlic to ground beef and brown in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.
  2. Crumble up 1 beef bouillon cube and spread over beef.
  3. 2. Mix Gravy Mix water, wine and Worcestershire sauce in small bowl. Pour over beef. Bring to boil. Add peas and carrots. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes. Transfer meat mixture to 3 quart baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes.
  4. 3. Bake 30 minutes or until gravy bubbles and potatoes are slightly browned. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
