Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. molasses (1/2 c. light mild flavor, 1/2 c. table syrup)
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. boiling water

Instructions

  1. Add to crumb mixture.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Batter will be thin.
  4. Pour into a floured and greased 8 x 12-inch pan.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
  6. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
