Ingredients

  • 1 lb. softened butter
  • 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 3 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sifted powdered sugar.
  2. Gradually add the combined flour and cornstarch to the creamed mixture, mixing until well combined.
  3. Pat the dough into an ungreased 15 x 10 inch baking pan.
  4. Pierce the surface several times with a fork.
  5. Bake at 350°F (177°C) for 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares while still warm.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
