Ingredients

  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 pound butter (room temperature)
  • 7/8 cup confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour and confectioners sugar separately, then combine and sift twice.
  2. Mix the flour and sugar mixture with softened butter using hands until the butter is fully absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough to about 3/8 to 1/2 inch thickness.
  4. Cut the dough into desired shapes.
  5. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 325°F (163°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are light brown.
