Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. raw rice
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar mushrooms, drained and reserved liquid
  • 1 pkg. Lawry cheese Italian dressing mix
  • salt and pepper to taste or 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • hot water

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet; add rice and stir until golden brown.
  2. Remove from heat and add mushrooms, salt and pepper, and dressing mix to the rice; stir well.
  3. Add enough hot water to the reserved mushroom liquid to make 2 cups of liquid and pour over the rice mixture.
  4. Bring to a boil, then pour into a buttered dish.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
