Ingredients

  • 10 slices white bread
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar and/or Jack cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut or tear the bread into 1-inch pieces.
  3. Mix the bread and cheese together.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with milk and salt.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and cheese mixture.
  6. Optional: Dot with butter on top.
  7. Refrigerate overnight.
  8. Bake for 50 minutes or until the center is no longer soggy.
