Ingredients

  • 1 package devils food cake mix
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix (4 serving size)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Chef series cinnamon & vanilla spice blend
  • 1/3 cup chocolate topping
  • chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, beat the cake mix, pudding mix, softened butter, eggs, and spice blend on low speed for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl occasionally.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool the cake for 10 minutes in the pan.
  6. Invert the cake onto a plate and cool for 30 minutes.
  7. Prick the top and sides of the warm cake with a fork.
  8. Spread the chocolate topping over the cake.
  9. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top.
  10. Cool completely for about 1 hour before serving.
