- Clean and cut the milkfish into 5 to 6 pieces.
- Wash mustard greens and cut them in half.
- Saute garlic, onion, and tomatoes in hot oil until mushy.
- Add miso sauce and fish sauce; cook briefly to combine flavors.
- Simmer the mixture for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add the milkfish and 2 cups of water; bring to a boil and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add mustard greens and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in lemon juice for added tang.
- Add fish sauce if desired.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
