Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Beat the egg whites at high speed until frothy.
  3. Add salt while continuing to beat.
  4. Gradually add sugar, a little at a time, and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Heavily grease cookie sheets.
  8. Drop heaping spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheets.
  9. Put the cookie sheets in the oven and turn it off immediately.
  10. Leave the cookies in the oven for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight, until crisp and dry.
