- Place the carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, onion, and celery in the slow cooker.
- Place the cubed stew meat over the vegetables.
- In a medium bowl, combine the dry onion soup mix with the condensed golden mushroom soup.
- Add water and mix well to form the broth mixture.
- Pour the soup mixture over the meat and vegetables in the slow cooker.
- Add additional water as needed so that the liquid comes just to the bottom of the meat.
- Cook on low setting overnight, adding more water in the morning if necessary.
- Allow to cook all day until the meat is tender and flavors meld.
