Ingredients

  • 6 lb beef short ribs
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
  2. Pour about 1 cup water into a roasting pan.
  3. Place the ribs, fat side up, on a rack in the roasting pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Roast the ribs for 20 minutes.
  5. Reduce oven temperature to 300°F (150°C).
  6. Continue roasting until the ribs are tender, about 2 1/2 hours.
