Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb smoked cobia or smoked fish
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 6 potatoes, cubed
  • salt to taste
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 c water

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot or soup kettle.
  2. Add chopped onions and bite-sized pieces of smoked fish; sauté lightly until onions are tender.
  3. Add cubed potatoes and water; cover and cook until potatoes are done.
  4. Add milk and warm just to boiling point.
  5. Garnish with parsley and serve with whole wheat bread.
