Instructions
- Mix together like pie crust the flour, salt, sugar and shortening.
- Reserve 1 cup of this mixture and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon to it.
- To the rest of the mixture, add egg, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and buttermilk.
- Mix well and put in 9 x 13 pan.
- Sprinkle cup of reserved mixture over top. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
