Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or black walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream confectioners sugar, salt, and butter thoroughly; add vanilla.
  2. Gradually stir flour into the creamed ingredients.
  3. Work chopped pecans or walnuts into the dough.
  4. Chill the dough well.
  5. Form the dough into 1-inch balls.
  6. Place the balls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in a hot oven at 400°F for 10 minutes.
  8. Roll the cookies in confectioners sugar immediately after baking.
  9. Cool the cookies on a rack.
  10. Roll the cookies in sugar again.
  11. Store in an airtight container.
