Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. Add sugar and flour to the yeast mixture and stir.
  3. Add 3 tablespoons melted shortening and mix well.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  5. Cut out biscuits and place them in a greased pan.
  6. Let the biscuits rise for 45 minutes.
  7. Bake at 400°F until brown on top.
