- Soften the gelatin envelopes in cold water for 10 minutes.
- Add boiling water and stir until the gelatin is dissolved.
- Mix in salt, sugar, and orange juice and let cool until set.
- Meanwhile, remove the crust from the angel food cake and tear the cake into small pieces.
- Line a mold or round bowl with wax paper.
- Whip one cup of cream until soft peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the cooled gelatin mixture.
- Pour a layer of the gelatin mixture into the prepared mold.
- Add a layer of cake pieces.
- Repeat layers, ending with the gelatin mixture on top.
- Refrigerate until firm.
- Unmold the dessert and frost with the remaining whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with coconut before serving.
