Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Heat the sour cream until warm.
  2. Add sugar, melted margarine, and salt; stir to dissolve.
  3. Cool the mixture to lukewarm.
  4. In a large warm bowl, add 1/2 cup warm water and sprinkle the dry yeast into the water.
  5. When the yeast is dissolved, add the sour cream mixture, then eggs and stir.
  6. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and stir to form a batter.
  7. Put the batter in the refrigerator overnight.
  8. Divide the chilled batter into 4 parts.
  9. On a floured surface, roll each part into a round circle.
  10. Cut each circle into pie-shaped wedges.
  11. Roll each wedge into a crescent roll shape.
  12. Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  13. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
