Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together to form a firm dough.
  2. Beat the dough until it easily comes away from the sides of the bowl.
  3. Press the dough through a dumpling sifter into salted boiling water using a spoon.
  4. Cook the dumplings for 10 to 15 minutes until they float to the surface.
  5. Skim the dumplings out and dip them in cold water to stop the cooking process.
  6. Optionally, lightly brown the dumplings in butter before serving.
