Ingredients

  • 2 large cans tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 large can tomato paste
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 3 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 4 or 5 bay leaves
  • 3/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Fry chopped onion and garlic in olive oil until tender.
  2. Add tomato paste to the onion and garlic mixture and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add pureed tomatoes and all other ingredients to the pot.
  4. Cook the sauce for about 2 hours, stirring often.
  5. Add meatballs into the sauce and cook together for the remaining time.
