A refreshing sparkling fruit compote featuring a mix of canned and fresh fruits, flavored with allspice and topped with bubbly ginger ale—perfect for a light, fruity dessert or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 can apricot halves, drained
  • 1 can peach halves, drained
  • 1 can pear halves, drained
  • 1 can purple plums, with syrup
  • 2 medium apples, sliced
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1 pt. ginger ale

Instructions

  1. Place canned apricot halves, peach halves, pear halves, and purple plums (with syrup) in a large bowl.
  2. Mix allspice with the plum syrup.
  3. Pour the spiced syrup over the canned fruit in the bowl and refrigerate.
  4. Just before serving, add sliced apples, sliced bananas, and cold ginger ale to the fruit mixture.
