Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 green pepper
  • 3 carrots

Instructions

  1. Mix shredded cabbage with salt and let stand for two hours.
  2. Boil sugar, vinegar, and water, then allow to cool.
  3. Add sliced celery, sliced green pepper, shredded carrots, and mustard seed to the cooled mixture.
  4. Combine all ingredients well and serve.
