Ingredients

  • 1 (29 oz.) can peach halves
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 short cinnamon stick
  • whole cloves

Instructions

  1. Drain peach halves; save 1 cup of syrup.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the syrup, sugar, vinegar, and cinnamon stick.
  3. Stud each peach half with 3 or 4 cloves.
  4. Add the peach halves to the mixture and heat over medium heat until boiling.
  5. Lower the heat and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Cover and refrigerate before serving.
